Right Start Puppy Camp

4 weeks In Board Training and 2 privates.

Get your puppy’s education started off right! We start by teaching your puppy our basic system of communication. Setting them up for success in all your future training. That is followed by the learning to learn phase. We teach impulse control games and work on curbing nipping / mouthing. The foundation of basic commands with hand signals for: sit, down, come when called, go to bed, wait at doorways is learned. Puppies in this program will socialize with other puppies, appropriate adult dogs and farm animals. A great start to your future training goals. Cost $4000

Puppy Basics

6 weeks board and train, 2 privates

We will build upon everything we do in our right start camp. This means the addition of verbal commands to all the behaviors we have started. Off-site fields trips for socialization as well as practicing commands in a variety of places are included. Leash manners (walking politely on leash) and boundary manners (not bolting out of doors) are a focus in this program. In addition, we work on bringing toys back, leave it, and manners when greeting. $5400

Puppy Plus

8 week Board and Train, 2 private lessons

We take the skill we teach in Puppy Basics and puppies learn a more complete understanding of commands: sit, down, down stay, wait, go to bed, leave-it, come when called (much more work around distractions in this camp). In addition, we work on a more formal heel, body handling for grooming and vet visits, additional field trips, and put a lot of time into house manners and manners when guest arrive.

All puppies will be on a solid potty schedule and many are sleeping through the night in a crate without accident. This is a great program for owners with busy schedules, who want to ensure that their puppy has a solid foundation of training and socialization. This program will take most puppies through the critical and sensitive periods of brain development (training and experiences during this period will shape who your dog is for the rest of her life). Cost $6400

Puppy Works

This is our most popular program. The program starts with one of the above camps. Then when you puppy is 6-8 months old they come back to complete their off leash and advanced training. This program rewards owners that are detacated to fully training their dogs so they can be a part of their family. When owners commit to both camps they receive a large discount on their second camp!
Puppies that complete the 4 week puppy camp will come back for a 4 week advanced camp. $400 discount off second camp
Puppies that complete the 6 or 8 week puppy camp will come back for a 3 week advanced camp. $800 off your second camp.

Perfect Puppy

16 weeks up to 8 private lessons

This camp is made for professionals/families that want a well-trained dog but do not have the time for the critical and early stages of socialization and training. Owners will be able to take their puppies to dog friendly place upon graduating. Typically, puppies in this program graduate around 6 – 6.5 months old. Puppies are taken to a least 4 new locations each week for socializing and training. They are introduced to swimming (when weather allows) and the treadmill so their owners have many ways to exercise them. They have reliable obedience commands, on and off-leash around other dogs and livestock. We have very limited space for this program and recommend signing up as soon as you know you are getting a puppy. Training gear is included in this camp.

(* The majority of puppies in our 6+ week programs go home knowing basic commands and are typically accident-free in their crate. Although every puppy is different and some may not be mature enough at this age to fully master commands, early imprinting will lay the foundation for later obedience training and help the puppy learn very quickly once it is in your care. Our 16-week programs will also introduce more advanced learning and control.)

Medical Safety In Pupppy Training

The American Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Medical Society of Animal Behavior, and several other nation organizations advise dog owners to begin training as soon as their puppy comes home.

Studies have shown that a what puppies experiences in the first three months of life strongly influences what kind of companion they will grow to be and how they will react to the world. How they react to children, hats, strangers, other dogs, loud noises, and even the vacuum will be learned during this time.

Failure to properly expose young puppies to certain situations or types of people during this brief early period ( 4 to 14 weeks ) can result in the puppies being forever fearful of them as an adult. Early socialization—or the lack of it—is a vital determinant of a dog’s lifelong behaviors. Without proper socialization, it is unlikely that a pup will become the adult dog he could have been, whether as a competitor in canine sports or as a happy, well-adjusted pet. This means starting training as soon as your pup gets home and NOT waiting until 4 months and their shots are finished is CRUCIAL to your pups success. “Puppy Play School” and ” Puppy Kindergarten” classes are not training class. They focus only on free play with other random puppies and cause fear, arousal, and aggression problems in many dog when they hit adolescents. Get your puppy started right!

Frequently Asked Questions

I am not ready to commit to a full training package. How can I learn more about your program and how it will apply to my dog?
You can book a Consultation to get to know me better and learn more about my training program. Click here to sign up.
My vet says I can't take my puppy out of the house until 4 months old when he is done with his shots. Is this going to be a problem?
Yes! This is a big problem. Your vet is giving out outdated information. More dogs die every day from behavior problems due to lack of early socialization than from parvo or distemper. Once your puppy had his first vaccination it is time to get started. I will help you make good choice and have you take your puppy to the safest places we can.
What do we do each week?
The first session will induce an evaluation and introduction to my training system. Then you will get a rough timeline for training. Each puppy will get appropriate play with hand picked dogs or puppies, environmental training for confidence, obedience foundation work, handling, and proper greeting skills.
How often will we meet for training?
Book your sessions weekly. Puppies develop quickly so want to get as much training in as we can.
What if I need to reschedule?
I am very flexible with scheduling. Just send me an email telling me you need to change your appointment and what day and time you want to come instead.
